During the early years of his ministry, John also worked as a truck driver in Santa Paula and later for Wasco Concrete Pipe. He recently retired from Wasco Union High School after 14 years of service as a bus driver. John enjoyed fishing, riding horses, and golfing when he had the time, but it his greatest fulfillment came from shepherding and loving the people he served.
